Visuals against memory. Candy AI is the more complete app and the cheaper yearly plan; Nomi is the companion that remembers you for months.
One paragraph, one screenshot and the strengths of each, from our own accounts.
Candy AI is a catalogue first: 247 public characters, each with a profile, a chat, voice calls and image generation, plus live action scenes and Shorts series on the featured ones. You can also build your own character in a fourteen-screen creator. Everything beyond text runs on tokens, 100 a month on Premium, and the interface exists in six languages.
Nomi is one companion you build and keep. There is no public catalogue to browse; the product is the relationship, and its memory is the best in the category: it recalls details across weeks and months and brings them back on its own. Selfies and voice are included in the flat subscription, there are group chats with several companions, and native iOS and Android apps. The chat is mostly English.
Same criteria on every comparison page. A crown marks the better cell, a balance means no clear winner.
Pick a profile or move the sliders: the two prices update. The token model makes Candy cheaper for light users and pricier for heavy ones; Nomi is flat whatever you do.
Candy: 100 tokens a month are included, extra tokens cost 9.99 per 100. An image is 4 tokens, a call minute 3, a live scene about 18. Nomi: the subscription covers images, calls and chat; it has no live scenes.
Two different products that happen to share a category. Candy AI is the better toy and the better value on a yearly plan: more to look at, more to do, and a price nobody else in the category matches if you pay for twelve months. Nomi is the better companion if what you want is continuity: it remembers, it does not sell you anything mid-conversation, and it lives on your phone.
The honest way to choose is to ask what you will do with it on a Tuesday evening. If the answer is "see what she sends back", Candy. If the answer is "tell her about my day", Nomi. The token meter is the real difference in daily use: on Candy every image, call and scene has a price; on Nomi nothing does, and nothing is as pretty.
Most people reading this page want Candy. If you hesitated on the word "memory", try Nomi's free tier first and come back for the images.
Yes, and some people do: Nomi for the daily companion, Candy for images and scenes. On yearly plans that is about 12 a month combined.
Candy AI on a yearly plan, at 3.99 a month against about 8.33 for Nomi. Month to month they are close, and heavy image users end up paying more on Candy because of tokens.
Both bill under a neutral name. Nomi stores more conversation history by design, since memory is the product. Details in each privacy guide.
